Dumitru Cornilescu is the author of this Romanian translation of the Bible, made in 1921. Cornilescu translated the Bible into modern Romanian language because of the difficulty of the Romanian language and archaic Slavonic characters used in Bible translations at the time.

This version is currently the most popular version among Protestant confessions.
