This is the Holman Christian Standard Bible® 2nd Edition. The HCSB is a modern English translation of the Bible. A team of 100 scholars and proofreaders from various denominations worked from the Nestle-Aland Novum Testamentum Graece, 27th edition and the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia, 5th edition. The work was completed in March 2004. An effort was made to find a balance between formal equivalence (word-for-word) and dynamic equivalence (thought-for-thought) translation resulting in what the translators call an Optimal Equivalence translation.

This electronic edition contains the Words of Christ in Red ,or preferred colour as well as Bullet Notes , Footnotes,and Cross References.
