The Tanakh, or Masoretic Text, is the Hebrew Bible used in Ribbinical Judaism. Tanakh is an acronym formed from the names given to the 3 traditional divisions of the scriptures, those being the Torah (Teaching), Nevi'im (Prophets) and Ketuvim (Writings).
